Main Bathrooms
After the kitchen bathrooms are probably what most people will spend the most on therefore it is important to know what you want to get from it.
for instance, do you want a separate shower or do you really need that bidet?
The four main components of a bathroom tend to be the Toilet, Bath, Basin and Shower
All these come in many varying options, sometimes very bewildering which is why it is often useful to do some research before looking for estimates.
Things to consider are:
- The amount of space available
- Size and type of bath (will it have an integral shower)?
- Will your basin and/of lavatory be built in or self standing?
- If you want a shower, what type (often driven by if you have a combi)?
In addition to the actual bathroom items other things that need to be thought out first are:
- What sort of lighting do you want (See our separate tab for lighting)?
- Are you having wall tiles, if so full wall part wall or just some walls?
- Are you having floor tiles, again what style and size (large tiles in a small bathroom can look a little odd)?
- What heating will you need in there (a towel rail perhaps)?
- Another item to think about are the taps. There are many styles of tap at very differing prices.
